Students at Peters Township High School are afforded the opportunity to take
elective hands-on courses in a number of media fields to better prepare them to
work, understand and to better respect technology, as well as how to work in
group environments to achieve team goals, projects and programs.

After taking the introductory course called Media I which gives an overview of
the many of the different aspects of media professions, students can then move
on to courses in photography, yearbook, journalism, media broadcast, or
television production.

Students that take the Media Broadcast and Television Production classes work hand-in-hand with Peters Township Community Television on programs and projects involving adult volunteers, professionals and local businesses &
organizations to give the students "real world" experience to take on into their
experiences in college and the workforce, whether they enter a communication
field or not.
