Information for Businesses
Update for Contractors & Developers seeking inspections:
We are only doing inspections that are permitted per these key documents:
Those contractors and developers that are listed on the Life Sustaining Industry Operation Guidance. See the pdf document below this letter labeled "Life Sustaining Business List - from Governor's Office."
Those who have waivers from the Office of the Governor, please note that new letters were mailed at the end of March clarifying Life Sustaining Businesses. We will NOT be issuing any permits or inspecting any construction that falls outside the guidance of the waiver’s language.
Peters Township has received clarification from the State Department of Community and Economic Development that residential construction projects that are substantially complete may continue to completion. Projects that are “substantially completed” are those that have been issued a final occupancy permit. For all other residential construction projects, limited activities may continue to the extent necessary to stabilize the site, temporarily prevent weather damage, or make emergency repairs only. No new residential construction or non-emergency rehabilitation projects may be started.
Additionally, please take note that any work done without permits or that have not been inspected by Peters Township Planning Department will be subject to removal and will have the non-approved work listed on any future Lien Letters issued by the Township.
If you are unsure what work can or cannot be done, please email or call Joe Luff at 724-260-5761.
